Roderick and Lisa’s love story began with a simple Facebook post. After returning from a celebratory trip to California for his brother's 60th birthday, Roderick responded to Lisa's Facebook post for help with home repairs at her mother’s house. He met with her to discuss the job, and his exceptional craftsmanship left Lisa and her family thoroughly impressed. Roderick eventually worked up the courage to ask Lisa out. Though she was initially hesitant, his persistence paid off, and their first date sparked a deeply blossoming romance. Their bond was truly tested and solidified in July 2022. When Lisa suffered a severe medical emergency and was hospitalized, Roderick proved his steadfast devotion by staying by her side every single day. Seeing his unwavering care, Lisa knew his love was genuine, and their relationship grew stronger than ever. After years of dating, Roderick decided to take the next step. On December 5th, 2025, Roderick's 58th birthday. Lisa arranged a special dinner to celebrate Roderick's birthday. Instead of just receiving well wishes, Roderick hijacked the occasion to pop the question. During their dinner in Chicago, he asked Lisa to marry him, and she joyfully said yes. The entire restaurant celebrated with them and a anonymous person graciously picked up their $350 dinner tab.
